How We Can Work Together

The right support depends on what is happening in your business right now.

You might need clarity before making another decision. You might already know you need another person. Or you might need someone experienced to step in and help keep the business moving.

There isn’t one right way to get support – and you don’t need to turn yourself into a full-time project manager just to get some breathing room.

There are two ways to work with me: personalised one-to-one support or alongside other business owners inside Operation HQ.

Work with me one-to-one

“I know something needs to change, but I’m not sure what.”

Business Support Strategy

Perhaps you’re carrying too much, your current support no longer fits, delegation keeps creating more work, or the business has changed and the old way of running it isn’t keeping up.

A Support Strategy Session gives us room to step out of the day-to-day and look at the whole picture.

Together, we’ll examine:

  • what you are currently carrying
  • where your time and capacity are being drained
  • which work actually needs you
  • what could be delegated, changed, simplified or stopped
  • whether your current support is still working
  • what kind of support would make the biggest difference next

Depending on what we uncover, the session may include support mapping, a capacity review, delegation planning, a foundations review or preparation for a new support relationship.

What you’ll leave with

  • A clear view of the real pressure points – not just the loudest tasks
  • A personalised Capacity Map
  • A practical Support Roadmap
  • Priorities you can act on without rebuilding the entire business
  • An honest recommendation about what support you do – and do not – need

90-minute online session: $247
Follow-up sessions are available when you need to review, adjust or make the next decision.

Support Connection

You have already reached the point where another human is needed. What you do not want is another vague job ad, a hundred applications to sort through, or a working relationship that looks fine on paper and falls apart three weeks later.

Support Connection helps you get clear before you start searching.

That may include:

  • defining what the role actually needs to achieve
  • separating the must-haves from the nice-to-haves
  • identifying the right type and level of support
  • clarifying responsibilities, boundaries and communication expectations
  • connecting you with suitable Australian support professionals and specialist providers
  • helping you prepare for a stronger working relationship from the beginning

The right person might be an EA, bookkeeper, customer experience specialist, community manager, creative assistant or someone else entirely.

I am not here to sell you a particular job title. I am here to help you find support that fits.

Let’s find your support person.

“I don’t just need advice. I need someone experienced to step in.”

Business Operations Support

This is hands-on support for established businesses that need an experienced, trusted person inside the day-to-day operations.

It is available in two forms.

Ongoing operations support

For the right business, I provide ongoing executive and operational coordination across areas such as:

  • team, supplier and stakeholder coordination
  • events, projects and business logistics
  • keeping priorities visible and the important work moving
  • inboxes, communication and follow-through
  • customer or member experience.

This is not entry-level task support or an unlimited list of whatever happens to land in the inbox. It is a close, collaborative working relationship with clear responsibilities and boundaries.

Project and transition support

Short-term support for the seasons when the business needs a reliable pair of hands – but not necessarily a permanent hire.

That may include:

  • holiday or planned-leave cover
  • parental leave or staff absence cover
  • a defined operational project
  • event coordination
  • a particularly busy period
  • a business change or transition
  • temporary inbox and communication management

It is the professional version of a business babysitter: someone who learns what matters, keeps an eye on the moving parts and makes sure you do not return to unnecessary chaos.

Availability is deliberately limited. Every engagement is scoped around the business, the responsibilities involved and the level of ownership required.

“I don’t want to do business alone.”

Community

ASSEMBLE is the community side of Operation Support: an online village for Australian business owners who want practical help, genuine conversations and people to do business alongside.

It is not a cheaper version of one-to-one consulting. It solves a different problem.

Inside ASSEMBLE, the focus is on:

  • getting work done alongside other people
  • talking through business decisions without needing a 20-minute backstory
  • planning around real capacity
  • learning practical ways to run and support a small business
  • sharing ideas, experiences and useful connections
  • building relationships with people who understand the reality of working for themselves

You can be ambitious without pretending you have endless time, energy or resources. You can ask for help before everything is on fire. And you can turn up without performing a polished version of business ownership.

Amber has supported me twice now across two different businesses with operational and administrative support. She’s incredibly professional, empathetic, competent and trustworthy.

You can hand her any set of responsibilities and trust that the job will get done with a smile. 5 stars all the way!!

Gen Ford

General Manager, Outside Opinion

Before working with Amber I felt overwhelmed, overworked and overstretched in all the wrong places. Working with Amber has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and I can now focus on doing the thing that I love and that move the needle in my business. Since working with Amber my business has grown by 20% (and growing). If you are thinking about working with Amber I would say 100% worth the investment.

Megan Winter

Founder, Lume Marketing

I’m Amber Field, a Business Support Strategist with more than twenty years of experience across executive support, operations, customer and member experience, recruitment, administration, retail leadership and community building.

I help business owners understand what is really creating pressure, decide what kind of support makes sense, and put the right people, expectations and practical structures around the work.

Sometimes that means another person.

Sometimes it means a better conversation.

Sometimes it means changing the work before handing it over.

And sometimes it means doing less.

My role is to help you work out which is which.

What working with me is actually like

My approach is collaborative, practical and direct.

I will listen properly, ask questions and help you see the pattern beneath the individual tasks. I will also tell you when I think the solution you arrived with is likely to create another problem.

I am not here to hand you a generic blueprint, pressure you into hiring, or agree with every idea for the sake of keeping the conversation comfortable.

The work is shaped around your business, the people involved, your financial reality and the capacity you genuinely have available.

We’ll probably work well together if you:

  • value clear communication and defined expectations

  • want support that is sustainable for everyone involved

  • are willing to have honest conversations about capacity, money and responsibility

  • care about working ethically with employees, contractors and virtual support providers

  • want a thinking partner, not simply someone who says yes

  • are prepared to make decisions and follow through on them

I’m probably not the right person if you:

  • want low-cost, entry-level task support

  • expect instant availability or unlimited access

  • want to delegate responsibility without sharing the information or authority needed to do the work

  • need personal concierge or household support

  • are looking for social media management, copywriting or a technical automation build

  • want someone to absorb ongoing scope creep rather than address it

Clear fit protects both of us. Good support should make the working relationship healthier – not simply move the pressure from one person to another.

Let’s work out what would genuinely help.

If you know something needs to change but you are still circling the question of what, begin with a Support Strategy Session.

If you already know whether you need a person, a connection or experienced operational support, choose the relevant pathway and tell me what is happening in your business.
