Business is easier when you have people to do it alongside.

ASSEMBLE is an online village for Australian solo and small business owners who miss having colleagues, want useful business conversations and believe support should fit real life.

Come for the co-working, planning and practical help.

Stay because you have finally found people who understand what you’re talking about without needing the 20 minute backstory first.

What the community is

Running a business can be freeing - and bloody lonely.

You make the decisions.

You solve the problems.

You notice what has been missed.

You carry the uncertainty, then switch tabs and answer a client email as though none of that is happening in the background.

Even the wins can feel oddly quiet when there is nobody beside you who understands what it took to reach them.

Social media gives you an audience. Courses give you information. AI can help you think through a question.

None of those things replaces having people in your corner.

ASSEMBLE exists to give independent business owners some of what traditional workplaces provide at their best: people to work alongside, ask, encourage, learn from and occasionally say, “Can somebody else look at this before I overthink it for another three days?”

It is your virtual headquarters without the commute, office politics or somebody reheating fish in the lunch room.

A business community built around participation – not performance.

ASSEMBLE is a place to:

  • turn up and get some work done
  • talk through a decision with people who understand small business
  • ask for a recommendation without disappearing into a public Facebook group
  • share something useful you have learned
  • meet people whose work overlaps with yours
  • celebrate a win that might look small from the outside
  • plan around the capacity you actually have
  • be reminded that you are not the only person figuring things out as you go

You do not need to present a polished version of your business.

You do need to participate like a decent human: with respect, curiosity, generosity and an understanding that community works when members contribute as well as consume.

This isn’t networking with the personality left in the car.

There are no exclusivity rules preventing two people with similar services from joining.

Overlapping work often creates the most useful conversations. People can compare experiences, refer work that does not fit, collaborate on opportunities and feel understood by somebody who knows the territory.

There are also no forced referrals, attendance scores, compulsory elevator pitches or expectation that every conversation must produce a lead.

Business may come from the relationships built inside ASSEMBLE. That is welcome.

But the community is not a transaction disguised as friendship.

The point is to build a useful network of people – not collect a room full of business cards and hope somebody buys something.

Supported by businesses that believe community matters

ASSEMBLE may work with carefully selected community partners whose products, services or contribution genuinely support members.

Partnerships will not give a business unrestricted access to members, influence over community conversations or permission to turn ASSEMBLE into an advertising channel.

Any commercial relationship will be disclosed clearly, and protecting the member experience will remain the priority.

Community Partnerships help keep ASSEMBLE accessible while allowing us to invest back into the community through resources, events and member experiences.

If you’ve ever wished there was a place where business owners genuinely supported one another instead of competing, you’ve found it.

ASSEMBLE was created for Australian business owners who are building, leading, and carrying more than most people see.

We’re a space where ambition is supported, not experienced in isolation.

At its heart, ASSEMBLE is about redefining what support looks like for people working behind the screens. Not transactional networking or business card exchanges, but genuine connection between business owners who understand the depth of building something sustainable around real-life constraints.

Here, conversations are honest, grounded, and real. A space where ambition and boundaries coexist, and where business owners support one another as they grow.

This is your virtual headquarters. The “office” you wish you had while you’re building in the messy middle.

Who This Community Is For

The right community isn’t about revenue. It’s about values.

ASSEMBLE may feel like your kind of place if:

  • you work from home and miss having colleagues
  • you run a solo or small business and carry most decisions yourself
  • your time or energy does not behave as though every week is identical
  • you are building around parenting, caring, health, employment or other real responsibilities
  • you want practical conversations more than polished business theatre
  • you value connection as much as strategy
  • you believe collaboration is possible even when people offer similar services
  • you are willing to contribute to the community, not only promote to it
  • you want support without being pushed to grow for growth’s sake

You do not need a certain revenue level.

You do not need a team.

You do not need a perfectly articulated five-year plan.

You need to be a business owner willing to participate respectfully and let other people be human too.

It probably isn’t the right community if:

  • you are joining only to collect leads or send unsolicited sales messages
  • you want exclusive access to an industry category
  • you expect ongoing private coaching as part of your membership
  • you want daily accountability or somebody monitoring your progress
  • you are looking for step-by-step training to build a business from scratch
  • you believe every conversation should focus on rapid growth, scale or revenue
  • you are unwilling to respect different capacities, working styles or business choices
  • you want to take from the community without contributing anything to it

This space is supportive, but it is not passive. Belonging is something we create together.

Thanks to the support of our partners, we’re able to keep our membership prices low while continuing to grow our community.

Full access to the private community, live member rhythm, co-working, quarterly planning, member directory and available replays and resources.

Month-to-month membership gives you flexibility as your business and capacity change.

Yearly Subscription

Twelve months of full membership for the price of ten.

Choose annual membership if you want to settle into the community and give relationships time to form without another monthly decision.

Membership Inclusions

Regular co-working

Three hours of dedicated online working time alongside other members.

Bring the proposal you have been avoiding, the administration that keeps sliding to next week, the project that needs uninterrupted attention – or simply turn up and use the company to help you begin.

This is not three hours of structured teaching. It is time to work, with enough connection to stop it feeling like another afternoon alone at the desk.

Monthly live conversation

A practical member conversation focused on a real part of running a small business.

Topics may include capacity, support, customer experience, boundaries, decision-making, delegation, working with contractors and building a business around an actual human life.

These sessions are facilitated rather than lectured. Members bring experience, questions and different perspectives into the room.

Quarterly planning sessions

Time to lift your head from the immediate workload, review what has changed and choose priorities for the next season.

The aim is not to create an ambitious plan that assumes every week will be perfect. It is to decide what matters, account for your real capacity and leave knowing what you are and are not prioritising.

Private community space

A member-only place for questions, recommendations, useful resources, progress updates, celebrations and conversations between live sessions.

The private space is the connective tissue of our community – not another noisy feed you are expected to keep up with every day.

Member directory

A searchable directory that helps members understand who else is in our ecosystem, what they do and where useful connections may exist.

The directory supports visibility and connection. It is not a guarantee of referrals, leads or sales.

Replay and resource library

Access useful past conversations, session replays and practical resources without needing to attend everything live.

The library supports the community; it is not designed to become another enormous course portal full of content you feel guilty for not finishing.

Support without another set of expectations to keep up with.

Inside you can expect:

  • practical conversations in plain English
  • respect for different business models, capacities and seasons
  • room for honest questions without being made to feel behind
  • opportunities to learn from other members, not only from Amber
  • useful introductions and recommendations where they naturally fit
  • clear community boundaries and active facilitation
  • a space where ambition and humanity are allowed to coexist

You can attend every live session or use the parts that fit your current season.

Nobody is taking attendance or turning your membership into another measure of whether you are doing business properly.

I’m Amber Field, a Business Support Strategist, connector and long-time believer in the value of having good people around you.

My role inside the community is to:

  • facilitate useful conversations
  • create opportunities for members to connect
  • notice shared needs and bring relevant topics into the room
  • protect the expectations and culture of the community
  • share practical support and operational thinking
  • help make the invisible parts of business ownership easier to talk about

I am not everybody’s coach, accountability manager or emergency contact.

ASSEMBLE works because the knowledge, encouragement and connection do not flow through one person. Members bring their own experience, ideas, questions and generosity into the room.

That is what turns an audience into a community – and stops me from becoming the human infrastructure holding every relationship together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this another coaching membership?

No. We facilitate the community and share practical business support, but it’s not a group coaching program or a substitute for personalised one-to-one advice.

Is it only for established businesses?

There is no revenue threshold, but this ecosystem will be most useful when you are actively running a business and have real work, decisions and experiences to bring into the community. It is not a start-a-business course.

Do I need to attend the live sessions?

No. Attend the sessions that fit your schedule and capacity. Replays and resources will be available where appropriate, though the relationship-building value naturally comes from some level of participation.

Will I get referrals from the directory?

Possibly, but referrals are not promised. The directory makes members easier to discover and understand. Trust and referrals grow from relationships, contribution and fit.

Can two people who offer the same service join?

Yes. We do not use category exclusivity. Similar and overlapping experience often creates stronger peer support, collaboration and more thoughtful referrals.

Is self-promotion allowed?

There will be appropriate places to share your work, offers and opportunities. Unsolicited pitching, repetitive promotion and private-message selling are not part of the culture.

What platform will I need to use?

The community is hosted on Slack, with co-working and video based sessions hosted on Zoom.

Your business deserves more than an audience.

It deserves a village.

ASSEMBLE is for the days you need company, perspective, a useful recommendation, somewhere to focus, or people who understand why today’s small win was not small at all.

You do not need to build every part of your business alone.
